Stained glass windows that are common in churches and cathedrals have found their way to private homes today. They come in different colors and shapes and their real beauty will depend on the amount of light they receive. The direction of the sun’s rays and the amount of lighting contribute immensely to the beauty of the stained glass window. There is the reduction of the light that can shine through a stained glass window once it gets dirty plus the beauty that reduces considerably. If the stained glass is dirty enough, it prevents the light from passing through it and thus it takes on a dull, dreary look.

When cleaning a stained glass window, never use the cleaners that contain vinegar, ammonia, wool soaped steel pads or other abrasive products. Clean your stained glass window with distilled water with a clean soft cloth if you want to get the best results.
